This article is in two halves, the first is written from the viewpoint of the Aries man or Aries woman, and the second is written from the viewpoint of the Virgo man or Virgo woman.

From the Aries viewpoint

Initially this isn’t an easy or smooth combination, and may not be for every Aries or every Virgo. However if you work at this relationship it can pay huge dividends for both of you.

Your temperaments are completely opposite. You’re impulsive and aggressive, while your Virgo is conservative, practical and in some ways timid.

It’s also true that they are very sensitive, but it’s an intellectual rather than emotional sensitivity, and therefore one you can better relate to, appreciate, and most of all fix damage from.

You’re a very aggressive and passionate person, with little tolerance for details or boredom, and you like to be in control.

Your Virgo on the other hand, prefers to take a back seat and focus on things such as efficiency and details. Pretty much everything you hate, they excel at, and vice versa making for a perfect combination if you can stay on the same page.

To give examples of the difference in viewpoints:

You may find your partner is particularly critical of you, and it may lead to a fight or two, until you realize they say things not to be petty or annoying, but because they genuinely want to improve you, and help make you ‘totally perfect’.

Given the opportunity this is a partner who will probably organize your life, removing all the annoying and trivial details you hate. Don't be offended by that - it's being done in a productive way and not a controlling way (I know personally i'd welcome it!)

In these and other examples the key is to step back and look at your partners motives. It's very unlikely they're trying to control you.

You are going to need to take things slow initially, and may want to read up on Virgos (links at bottom of this page) as they often don't like to rush into relationships - which can give mixed signals. If you don’t mind being a little patient in this area this one has 5 star potential.

Aries Virgo sex

Virgos sometimes get a bad rap in this area, often being portrayed as the least sexual of all the signs.

While it’s true they often dislike getting too emotional or vulgar, this is only because they tend to have a very tight ‘feedback’ loop running, to monitor and censor themselves constantly.

The key to this is that they often prefer a confident lover to take the controls and initiate things, and if this is the case in your relationship then it's likely you'll mesh very well - few Aries have a problem with it.

Often the more you can make your Virgo feel like "an innocent bystander" to your kinky designs, the less inhibited they are. On the other hand if you expect them to initiate anything too raunchy they often become too self conscious to really enjoy it.

It’s important to note however that we’re looking only at sun signs here. There are many other planets which can have an equal or greater effect on someones personality. Makes sense, as ultimately everyone is of course unique. Generalizing too far based just on sun signs can therefore be misleading.

Virgo and Aries compatibility

This is typically considered a poor combination, and initially it isn’t always an easy or smooth one. Indeed, it may not be for every Virgo or every Aries. However if you work at this relationship it can pay huge dividends for both of you.

You prefer to take a back seat and focus on things such as efficiency and details. Your Aries meanwhile is a human dynamo, hitting everything in life head on, with little or no patience for details or boredom, and in control of everything. Pretty much everything you hate, they excel at, and vice versa.

You’ve probably noticed and admire how bold and passionate your Aries is, even if sometimes it makes you cringe. Your temperaments are indeed completely opposite. You’re conservative, reserved and always practical, while your Aries is impulsive and aggressive, and almost totally carefree!

More than in most combinations you may want to read up on Aries (links at bottom of this page), but if you like the idea of an exciting and challenging relationship this one has 5 star potential.

Virgo Aries sex

Aries is full of passion and spontaneity, and very often wants to be in control in and out of the bedroom. Assuming both of you are comfortable with this is can be an almost perfect combination.

Long term

If you have been together for more than a few months then this relationship is likely to survive a very long time. Your Aries will be a constant source of inspiration and excitement, while you provide some much needed organization, patience and practicality to ground them.

As in most relationships a certain level of give and take is needed on both sides (which can be a lot harder for Aries than for you). A willingness to compromise on the part of your Aries is a very postive thing for this relationship, whereas a refusal to compromise is often best taken as a warning sign.
