Moving too fast with my Virgo man

If I moved too fast with a Virgo man initially, is it possible to "back up"? He tells me he likes me and that he doesn't play games. I am VERY attracted to this man, but he doesn't call when he says he will and doesn't respond to emails, but when I break down and call him, he sounds excited to talk to me and we enjoy each others company... my brother and other men say to move on... what do you Virgo guys think?

Im married to a virgo man and they are one not to make the first move they can be somewhat insecure. They are slow movers.
