Untypical scorpio, or is he?

I know a guy who has Scorpio in his sun moon mercury and one more place. His mars is in Libra. Is this man dying inside. Cuz Scorpios are very intense, would the Libra mars make him turn all those emotions inside. He doesn't seem intuitive, he seems he's impressed with what I say which is weird cuz I would expect him to be the smarter one. Can someone help me figure him out.
