Virgo man backing off

This co-worker a Virgo man told me he was attracted to me and I am a Scorpio. He supported me through my divorce, and now I am on my own. Ever since I have made suggestions about him coming over for dinner, or taking him to the movies, and celebrating his birthday well he is just backing off. I wanted to know where we were going with this. I need some advice

Scorpio Woman here. Back in 2009, I dated a Virgo man ten years my senior. (at the time 23/33) I was coming out an unhealthy relationship with a Gemini for almost five years. The Virgo and I dated briefly for four months. A very intense four months, but it felt like we knew each other for years! It was great. But I guess he felt he wasn't ready for something so intense and real. I broke down all his walls and created moments in his life, he felt he could never forget it. After two years apart, he offered reconciliation. I was hesitant, but I never felt for someone as deeply as I do for him.

The sex is amazing, but what's even more amazing is the emotional and intellectual connection. Now, I live in another state pursuing my career and academic goals. We are dating long distance. He calls me and texts me every day to tell me how much he loves and misses me. He will be coming next month to see me. I will be in his state for his birthday. I never see him make such initiative for us or our relationship. I am scared and reluctant to give myself to him. But, I can't help it. I believe a scorpio-virgo union can work, if the Scorpio woman learns to not completely smother Virgo man with her passionate love, give him his space, and learn to use more reason and not emotion to overrule the communication, and then this union could be ideal. Virgo man needs to learn to be more sensitive, open and trusting of his Scorpio counter-part. I read this online and found it to be quite accurate:

I'm messing with a Virgo guy and he doesn't call just text am not looking a relationship with him and he's not looking one with me but I still need someone who is emotionally there which he's not so it at times I feel like he doesn't like me should I continue that thing we have going or not?

I am sooo glad I am not the only Scorpio Woman that had the Virgo Man Experience. The attention the no attention. He will be into you and then don't know who you are. I have never experience anything like that. What's so crazy Im talking to another Virgo man right now. Definitely giving me plenty of attention and I do agree we are moving pretty fast. I will take some of your advise and play a little hard to get. I like that he calls and text and don't hear from me. He did admit he likes challenges.

A Virgo/Scorpio mix is a very very powerful one.... I am a Virgo male currently going a slight bit insane due to the female Scorpio who has thus far been in my life for a year and a half....
